I’ve been looking at various ways to make posts to this blog. I’d used ScribeFire via FireFox and that’s been pretty good. I like the flexibility of being able to go to a webpage and work on a post using in ScribeFire. I makes the process easier and the word processing is better than wordpress. I’ve also tried the Sun Weblog Publisher plugin for Open Office. I’ve not used it much and it’s ok – well sort of ok – anyway, I prefer ScribeFire.
Recently I came across Windows Live Writer and was pleasantly surprised. I doesn’t have the advantage that ScribeFire has as it’s not embedded into the browser but the one thing it does have is great………it gives you the exact style of your web pages. You know exactly what the type font will look like, how the type with justify and how large the images will be. It’s as if you are typing directly onto the page. The one thing that I thought that it didn’t have was the ability to use the categories from the blog like ScribeFire allows but I’ve looked at the bottom of the page and I’ve found categories. Magnifique!!!
